Blueberry Beet Smoothie

Smoothies are an easy and nutritious way to prepare fruits and veggies. They make for a great meal on the go or a frosty treat on a warm day. This recipe includes the unexpected but delicious pairing of beets and blueberries. This has become one of my favorite combinations. It might just be good enough to turn anyone into a beet lover. No ice required.

Blueberry Beet Smoothie

  • Servings: 1-2
  • Difficulty: Easy

  • 1 Cup Frozen Blueberries
  • 1 Frozen Banana
  • 1 Beet
  • 1 tsp Chia Seeds
  • ~1 Cup Almond Milk (depending on texture preference)


  1. Add Blueberries, Banana, Beet, and Chia Seeds to the Blender
  2. Start Blending
  3. Gradually add in the almond milk until desired texture is achieved

Note: Taste great with a scoop of protein powder. Feel free to substitute with another non-dairy milk such as soy, rice, hemp, coconut or cashew milk. If you don’t have chia seeds, flax seeds work great too!
