The post is a little late but I had to share anyway. In February, we attend a Mardi Gras themed dinner at Mohawk Bend. The Dinner was hosted by chef Bryant Terry and included a book signing for his late cook book called Afro Vegan.
It was four delicious courses of Louisiana/Creole themed dishes (Plus a couple signature cocktails). Afterward we met Bryant and had him sign the cookbook which we purchased. It was a great experience and the perfect way to celebrate Mardi Gras vegan style.
The Cook Book is full of African, Caribbean and Southern inspired recipes. There are plenty of full color photos of the dishes. In addition, each recipe is accompanied buy a suggested track from the chefs suggested playlist.
